Sisterlocks Journey

Welcome to my page:

So I've grown tired of treating my hair with chemicals and heat and decided to try a more natural look. I started my transition to sisterlocks January 2011. 1st I started braiding and twisting my hair to start the natural process without doing the big chop. I would like a least 3 inches of new growth before I start to trim my hair. I know this process take a little longer than the Big Chop but it was easier that way for me. If sisterlocks is something you're thinking of doing then go for it and follow my journey to sisterlocks.

Typically you will only need at leas 2 inches of new growth to start the process. Gernerally the hair grows an average of 1/2 inch per month and in a year about 6 inches.

Dry Scalp

For the 1st couples of weeks of having my sisterlocks, I've experience some itchiness and dry scalp so I use Hask Hair & Scalp Treatment which is guaranteed to help control problem dandruff and scalp itch even without shampooing. This product works well for me. It has: No Alcohol, not greasy which is good to maintain a healthy sisterlocks without damaging your locks.
